KENT SHAW OFFERS A CLOSE READING OF "AMANUENSIS"

Sincere thanks to Kent Shaw for offering a close reading of my poem "Amanuensis" as part of his Spectacular Poems series. READ ALL OF WHAT HE SAYS RIGHT HERE. Here's a preview: "It’s like the poem is aware of the distance between art and audience, the electric current passed from art to audience, and perhaps, it implies, this is what it feels like when the poetic impulse is captured in language." Holy moly, Kent. Thank you. "Amanuensis" appears in mercury firs #4, and you should go read the whole issue and all the issues ever. Probably you should also go buy Kent's books and read his poems. I've spent my whole life not getting into DIAGRAM and TYPO. The photo has nothing to do with anything; really it's just evidence that I still straight murder a blazer from time to time.
